Something's in the air...

I think anyone who's just wrapped up NYFW is probably seeing double right about now and lusting for a vacation. It was easy enough to gaze at the myriad blue pieces coming down the runway this season and long for the seaside. Or the pleated whites, which recalled some very civilized afternoons, playing tennis and having some very civilized conversation over lemonade. Or Thom Browne's entire collection, which heavy-handedly made everyone think of the insane asylum. We could all use a trip somewhere...

And likewise, when thinking about where I'd be traveling to next, I couldn't help thinking of what I'd wear when I got there. I'm fashion-blinded right now, which is why I had to look twice at these cool aerial landscape mash-ups by photographer Joseph Ford. I'm not sure if he had suffering fashion writers and editors in mind when he paired his photographs of deserts, coastlines, and rooftops with parallel images from the fashion world, but the results are quite transporting.

(For more of Ford's photos, check out his website)

Goodbye to all that.
